Endodontics is a specialization in dentistry that deals with the treatment of root canal teeth. The space inside the hard tissues of each tooth (the so-called root system) is filled with a soft toothbrush consisting of nerves and blood vessels. Helps your teeth grow and evolve. However, if the nerve is infected with bacteria or microbes (eg through deep defects, cracks or defective fillings), root canal treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, is required.
It involves the removal of an infected, injured or dead dental pulp. This is subsequently replaced by root filling and hermetically sealed. Thus, endodontics prevents the bacteria from penetrating the root system, which in most cases will allow the infected tooth to be saved and the artificial tooth replaced.
